  1. Clear Space in Your Bedroom:
    • Ensure your bed or another large surface is available for laying out clothes. This will help us review items effectively.
  2. Gather Seasonal Items:
    • Have all your seasonal clothing in one place. This will streamline the process and save time.
  3. Laundry and Dry Cleaning:
    • Make sure all clothing items, including those currently in laundry or at the dry cleaner, are available for review.
  4. Accessories and Shoes:
    • Retrieve all your purses from their dust bags.
    • Bring any shoes you might have at the office.
    • Dust off shoes that were stored away.
  5. Athleisure and Workout Clothing:
    • Set aside athleisure and workout pieces for a separate review.
  6. Jewelry Review:
    • Sort through your jewelry, putting aside any pieces that are missing or need repairs. Focus on the pieces we can work with during the audit.
  7. Try-On Session:
    • Be prepared to try on various items. This helps us assess fit, style, and how well items work together.
  8. Camera & Lighting
    • In the case of a virtual wardrobe audit, make sure to have a well-performing camera, a stand (you can buy one from Amazon) and good lighting.

Tips for a Successful Audit

  • Be Open and Honest:
    • Share your likes, dislikes, and any concerns about your wardrobe. This helps us tailor the session to your needs.
  • Communicate Needs:
    • Let us know if you have specific wardrobe needs, such as outfits for a special event or updates for your work attire.
  • Stay Flexible:
    • Be open to trying new styles and trends. Our goal is to help you discover new looks that enhance your personal style.
  • Give Feedback:
    • Your feedback is crucial for making the audit as beneficial as possible. Let us know what works for you and what doesn’t.

What to Expect

Personal Shopping Plan

  • Personalized Shopping List: Based on our initial consultation during the wardrobe audit, we’ll create a shopping list tailored to your needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Store Selection: We’ll choose stores and brands that align with your style and budget. This could include a mix of high-end boutiques, department stores, and online shops.

Shopping Session

  • In-Store Shopping: We’ll visit selected stores, where you’ll try on clothes and receive style advice on the spot. I will help you choose items that fit well and enhance your style.
  • Online Shopping (if preferred): I can also curate a selection of items online and guide you through the process of purchasing and returning items if needed.

Preparation Steps

  1. Budget Planning:
    • Set a realistic budget for your shopping session.
    • Inform me of your budget so I can tailor our shopping plan accordingly.
  2. Style Inspiration:
    • Gather some style inspiration, such as photos or magazine clippings of outfits you love. This helps me understand your style preferences better. A Pinterest board is always helpful.
  3. Comfortable Attire:
    • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes on the day of the shopping session. This makes it easier to try on multiple outfits.
    • wear versatile underwear (good bra, seamless panties)
  4. Essential Items:
    • Bring any essential items you want to match with new purchases, such as shoes or accessories in the case of a solo service booking.
    • Bring shapewear if we are shopping for cocktail attire and eveningwear

Tips for a Succesful Shopping Session

  1. Stay Open-Minded:
    • Be open to trying new styles and stepping out of your comfort zone. Sometimes the best finds are the unexpected ones.
  2. Feedback & communication:
    • Provide honest and clear feedback on the items you try on. Your input is crucial to finding pieces you truly love. “I don’t like this” won’t hurt my feelings.
    • If we are working with a flexible budget, be honest and straightforward about our progress. It’s important for me to know if we are reaching capacity.
  3. Ask Questions:
    • Don’t hesitate to ask questions about fit, style, and how to incorporate new items into your existing wardrobe.

Personal Styling Preparation

  • Set Up a Try-On Area:
    • Choose a well-lit area with a full-length mirror and space to lay out clothing. This will be your styling station during our session.
    • Have a blank background for lookbook photos
  • Have Everything Ready:
    • Gather all the items you own and all the items we have purchased in one space.
    • Lay out the accessories, jewelry and shoes in a visually easy-to-pick-up way.
    • Iron and steam all the items so they would look nice and neat in the lookbook.
  • Get ready for photos:
    • Make sure you are fully prepared to look your best in your outfits gallery. Make-up, hair, manicure, pedicure, whatever makes you feel best at your discretion.

 Organizing Your Wardrobe

1. Declutter and Clean

    • Ensure your wardrobe and storage areas are clean and ready to get organized. This will make it easier to arrange everything using my intuitive method.

2. Implement Storage Solutions

  • Use Hangers and Dividers:
  • Label and Categorize:
    • Label shelves or bins for different categories of clothing and accessories. Group similar items together for easy access.
    • Get these easy wardrobe dividers ready for our session.

Tips for a Successful Styling Session

  1. Be Open-Minded:
    • Be willing to try new styles and step out of your comfort zone. I will be there to help you explore and discover new looks.
  2. Communicate Clearly:
    • Provide honest feedback during the session. Let me know what you like and dislike about each outfit.
  3. Ask Questions: I normally rationalize each styling decision, but feel free to ask additional questions about my process and all the “whys” and “why not”.
  4. Take Notes:
    • Keep a notebook or use your phone to jot down styling tips and outfit combinations discussed during the session.
