Jen's Fall / Winter New-Old wardrobe "slowing down and enjoying life"

I have been working with Jennifer for seven years now. We met when she reached out to help her build a wardrobe for her new entrepreneurial life. Many things are crossing a woman’s life – work, family, health, body transformations – they all cash in and eventually affect how your style transitions. We met again with Jen to regroup and rethink who she is now at this point in her life and how her wardrobe reflects that. While focusing on a slower-paced work-life balance, we had to edit her wardrobe to a smaller, more compact and functional collection as she underwent life changes as an empty nester. Our goal was simple – retain the pieces that would intuitively still serve her well in her new life pace while saving space and keeping her mind at peace that she would have outfits to wear regardless of the occasion. Here is a list of goals we have planned for:

  • Less work outfits, incorporating pieces that she would be able to wear outside of work.
  • A few dresses that would embrace her beautiful curvy silhouette and make her feel sexy, elegant, and bold while going out for dinners with her beloved husband.
  • Elevated casual outfits she would be able to wear in her new walkable community on a coffee run, meet up, or just a casual walk.
  • Perfectly planned and organized cocktail and black ti outfits for work-related functions and galas.

Tom's smart casual caspule

After going through a divorce, Tom found himself back in the dating pool and needed to elevate his sartorial game. We built a smart casual collection of items he could transition well from daytime activities with his kids to a date night or game night with his friends. We mixed and matched higher-end pieces like a Reiss suede jacket and Tod’s boots with affordable but great-looking items from Zara and Club Monaco.

Alan & Christina's couple styling

Alan and Christina are a young, entrepreneurial couple with two beautiful kids. After successfully growing a business, Alan decided to slow down on his role and incorporate a more casual business look at the office, while Christina wanted an overall upgrade going out and work-related outfits. We went with a business-smart aesthetic for Alan, incorporating sports jackets into outfits he could wear to the office. We went with a dark romance aesthetic for Christina, playing with leather, dark florals, and sublime textures.

Andrea's work trips outfits

I have been working with Andrea for two years now. While continually exploring a style identity that would fit her personality and lifestyle, we moved from classy outfits to a more laidback Japanese-inspired aesthetic featuring asymmetric loose cuts. We have styled her for the laidback office culture she works in, several trips to Toronto and New York, featuring outfits for meetings with architects partners, and also for exploring life in big cities as a tourist.

Kelly's new life in Calgary

After a move to Calgary from the prairies, Kelly found herself with nothing to wear in the big city. We have worked together for both her winter and summer wardrobes, focusing on pieces that would transition well throughout seasons. We aimed to build her a wardrobe that would suit her officewear needs as much as her new social life in Calgary, as she would often attend events, wine tastings, and dinners with her partner. As a fashion stylist, my goal was to offer her alternative cuts – more feminine and figure-enhancing styles for her perfectly curved hourglass silhouette.
