Complimentary job interview styling for Ukrainian newcomers

As you might imagine, I always leave my clients’ homes with clothing that is either good for consignment or for donation. Last week, those items got a new meaning. I had the fantastic opportunity to work with Oksana, who arrived in Calgary at the beginning of June, escaping the war in Ukraine. Oksana is a young finance professional who secured herself an interview with a local organization in Calgary. She needed to look sharp and presentable. We aimed to build an outfit with our existing pieces, minimizing the total investment. We chose a perfect little black dress from my client Deanne worn with an Aritzia Babaton jacket from my other client Andrea, and a Coach handbag also from Deanne. We only purchased a pair of nude Nine West heels from Nordstrom Rack for only $69.

I enjoyed this experience so much that I decided to move forward with this initiative and further help other Ukrainians (or any other women and men in need) who require styling on a budget for their interviews. If you know someone, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
